Credentialing is how you become an in-network provider with insurance companies. It involves submitting qualifications like:

• Licensure and certifications
• Education and training
• Work history and references
• Professional IDs (e.g., NPI)

Credentialing can take up to 3 months which is why we ask for this before anything else.

You’re expected to:

✅ Complete all credentialing steps

✅ Provide consent for Coral Care to complete on your behalf

Getting Started: Get Your NPI + CAQH

1. What’s an NPI?

A 10-digit ID number issued by CMS to identify you in billing & insurance systems

✅ Must be obtained to see patients and before beginning credentialing

🧰 How-To: Get Your NPI Number

1. Create an I&A account via NPPES

2. Log in & apply for your NPI

   ⏱️ Takes ~10 business days to receive

3. Keep your NPI number handy for onboarding

2. What’s CAQH?

A centralized database where insurance companies verify your credentials

✅ Required for credentialing with Coral Care and other payers

🧰 How-To: Set Up CAQH

1. Visit CAQH Registration
2. Once you receive your CAQH number, register it through creating a CAQH account here.

Coral Care’s Credentialing Team can finish setting up your CAQCH profile.

Once you have your account, share your login details in the Credentialing Form. We’ll fill it out for you to review, and ask you to review + attest.

Feel free to create a temporary password (CoralCare1234, LetsFindNemo, etc.) for the Coral Care team to access.
